Crabtree & Evelyn is revamping and expanding its West Indian Lime fragrance for men. Following on from the brand’s tradition of creating fragrances inspired by “exotic” world locations, the range was developed using old apothecary methods with natural raw materials including lime, vetiver, warm spices and deep woody base notes. The range is now also extending to include a Body Wash and three soaps, each which have been triple milled.
The fragrance contains top notes of lime, vetiver, orange flower and lemon. The heart or middle notes are nutmeg, ginger and coriander. The base woody notes give the fragrance a masculine finish. The cologne retails at R650 for 100ml, the Body Wash at R350 for 300ml and the soaps are R400 for three. West Indian Lime, the fragrance, is now presented in a tinted glass bottles with bright yellow text. The carton is a slick matte black, with the same vibrant yellow lining the box and logo.
The range is also extending to include a shave collection with a shaving soap, shaving cream and aftershave. The soap produces a rich, creamy lather – ideal for shaving – and the shaving cream contains vitamin E. The aftershave balm has sweet almond oil and shea butter to moisturise the skin. The shaving soap (in a bowl) is R375 for 100g (a refill is priced at R175) while the shaving cream is R300 for 100g. The aftershave is R500 for 100ml.
