Remember when I said Essence bring out new on-trend collections really often? Well, brace yourself for another one. Coming to Clicks stores nationwide from 28 March until the end of June is another collection called Vintage District. This range is described as “cool hippy attitude meets bohemian chic and street style” and was inspired by fashion hotspots around the world.
The colour palette isn’t my usual cup of tea, but there are a few products I’m keen to get my greedy little hands on.
I love the design and artwork of this blush (R45). It’s a lovely soft peach base colour with golden shimmer detailing that should give you just the right amount of glow. Perfect for the upcoming winter months when you might need a bit of a pick-me-up after your summer tan has faded into nothingness.
How gorgeous is this blue for a gel eyeliner? It’s available in this turquoise (shopping @ portobella road) and grey (get arty) in a gel-cream texture and includes the brush for just R35. I haven’t tried any of the Essence gel liners yet but I do love the eye pencils. This seems as good a reason as any to try them out.
The highly pigmented eyeshadows also contain design work like the blush, giving them a funky, retro feel. They’re available in three colours at just R30 each.
