Avon appoints Pabi Moloi as new ambassador

Following in the footsteps of previous local celebrity ambassador Gerry Elsdon, radio and TV personality Pabi Moloi has been appointed as the new ambassador for Avon for South Africa for the next two years.

Moloi started her ambassadorship in August this year and her ambitious and outspoken attitude have made her the ideal candidate to represent the brand. She has often been involved in causes aimed at uplifting communities and recently launched her own foundation to highlight women’s and youth issues. This is perfectly aligned with Avon’s own ethos and beliefs as a brand that actively seeks to empower women. Part of Moloi’s role will be promoting the Avon Justine iThemba Breast Cancer Crusade for Hope and Avon’s Violence Against Women campaigns.

According to the company’s commitment statement:

This is the company that puts mascara on lashes and food on tables; that fights wrinkles with one hand and breast cancer with the other. That knows the value of a perfect lip, but still opens its mouth and speaks out against domestic violence and for women’s financial independence. This is the company that not only brings beauty to doors, but also opens them. The company that supports approximately 6.4 million representatives in over 100 countries. This is Avon. The company that for more than 125 years has stood for beauty, innovation, optimism and, above all, for women.
