Hello lovelies

A new year, a new look! I’ve been wanting to do this for ages and finally got around to it (read: motivated, inspired, told off for not doing it by my SO). I really hope you like the new look and feel. The blog has been redesigned by Yours Truly (*points dramatically to self), with input and all the fancy graphic design elements by my fabulous designer sister. (I mean, she IS a designer – I didn’t just order her from some overpriced, super fancy boutique in Paris.)

I’ve categorised some of my topics to be a lot more general and tried to group them by similarity. I really want to cover a broader range of my interests so hopefully this format works better. There are still a few kinks I’m trying to iron out so if something isn’t working, please let me know and I’ll get the experts (AKA “The Google”) to help me figure it out. Keep an eye out for other updates: Yes, this will be the year I take myself more seriously!

If you’re a new reader: Hey! Welcome to Beauty Bloggess! My name is Nicola, but you can call me Nix or Nikki. I’m 30 (oh, god – when did that HAPPEN?), live in Joburg, South Africa, work full-time as a copyeditor, part-time as a freelancer and blog in my “free” (haha!) time. This space is basically about all things pretty and stuff that inspires me. I hope you’ll be back soon.
